War Journalism

A war correspondent is a journalist who covers stories firsthand from a war zone. And in the Middle East there have been, and continue to be, a lot of conflicts to cover.

Journalists always have a role to play in the fight for freedom although the risks of doing so are sometimes very high. They also have a role to play in society generally by bringing news of war, both in words and images. to the general public.

War correspondents prepare reports by examining official documents, investigating tips, and interviewing sources, which can include military commanders, civilians, and soldiers. Correspondents sometimes become embedded with combat units and can be exposed to dangerous environments since they often accompany troops to the front lines. The job can be exciting and is often dangerous.

Among the many points the course will cover is the role of war correspondents and how best to cover stories.
